D-Fuse + Hauschka: Bees + Flies

Tekton Zero One - Bees + Flies Duration - 01:12 | Video - Mike Faulkner - D-Fuse | Audio - Hauschka Bees + Flies, otherwise known as Tekton Zero One, is part of D-Fuse's Tekton series of experiments with the processing of analogue imagery within architectural light structures. This early study, featuring densely packed formations of light, was created with the German musician Hauschka and commissioned for the 1 Minuto film festival in Italy. Inspired by Vladimir Tatlin’s Constructivist designs and László Moholy-Nagy’s Light Space Modulator, the process was originally developed for the Light Turned Down performances by D-Fuse and Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) in 2000, in collaboration with Labmeta (Paul Mumford). It further evolved as a series of films and live performances seen at the Punta Y Raya Festival in Iceland, plus other events in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Most recently, it was included in the Art Center Nabi’s opening programme in South Korea.
