vaporstack & Sofy Yuditskaya: Small Questions, 2023 Site-specific video installation at FEED Media Art Center, July 15 - August 6, 2023 "We took the trope and form of advertising and subverted it to prompt introspection. In a world where we are surrounded by billboards, advertisements and LED signs, we wanted to create a simple work that prompted thoughts and questions, instead of telling people what to think or buy. Tapping into the long tradition of Jenny Holzer's text based work, we used a "cute" pixel font (in contrast to say, Barbara Kruger's aggressive sans serif type treatments) that played well with the glazed glass bricks at FEED, trying to keep a cute and nonaggressive vibe for the presentation of the text.
